This brief workout is more than a warm-up but
less than a full workout. It has no aerobics, but
has segments to tone the arms, waist, hips, thighs,
stomach, and buttocks. There is a strong emphasis
on exercising with proper posture and there is a lot
of stretching.

You
will see to Jane's right is Peter Dudly, the loud-speaking
aerobics choreographer from "Workout Challenge." Also,
Kim Blank, the woman to the far left in the front
row with the blue body suit with pink top in "Low
Impact Aerobic Workout" is in the same spot in this
program with the teal leotard and red tights/leg warmers.
This
tape was originally going to be released as "Jane
Fonda's Stretch Workout" in 1985 and then planned
for a 1986 release titled "Jane Fonda's Stretch and
Tone workout." The video was finally issued in 1987
as a shortened workout class. That is why there is
a lot of weird editing. And notice at the end credits,
there are scenes that were not in the video. This
tape was issued on VHS and Beta video cassette.

This
was originally intended to be a limited time release,
but was re-released when A*Vision acquired rights
to Jane's videos. Two cover editions were released
for the VHS and one for the Beta. Both contain stereo
sound.
The music is a wonderfully classical with an 80's
electronic twist by Dean Correa. I personally use
this workout every morning before doing any other
of Jane's workouts and truly recommend it. |
