"Monogamy
becomes him. He looks great," she said. "We're
friends I tell you, what when you've spent 12-years
or 10 whatever. How many years was I with him? It
seems like a lifetime. Anyway, if you've been married
to someone it seems a shame not to remain friends.
And we are friends, and I love his kids a lot."
When
asked about a new boyfriend, she said, Honey,
frankly I don't care if I ever have another beau
again. And, I have not even thought about it. No.
Fonda
said she could have been a better mother, adding
that the regret served as motivation for establishing
her foundation.
I
could have done better frankly and I think one of
the reasons that I do what I do now is that you
teach what you need learn, she said. I
was not such a great parent especially for my first
child.
I
have a daughter who is about to have my second grandchild.
She's 33 and my son is 29. And, what I would have
done differently with both of them is when I was
home, I would have
really been home, she said.
"I
grew up in Hollywood in homes like this. The problem
with homes like this is parents live in one wing
and the nanny and kids live in the other wing, and
there the twain shall meet, and kids get into trouble,
she added.
Fonda
said she has learned lessons through her life and
experiences.
"I'm
almost 65. It's been about four years that I realized
guess what I'm a single woman and I feel just fine.
Thank you. Better late than never. That's
the message. Sometimes it takes along time to learn
the lessons, she said.
Fonda
said she plant to go back to work, adding that financially,
it is something she has to do. She may soon appear
on a popular cable television show and in a movie
based on Susan Minots novel, Evening.
The
pajama party helped raised $22,000 for GCAPP.
