The Pregnancy, Birth and Recovery Workout (referred to as
PBR) originates from Jane's workout studio and was designed
by Femmy DeLyser. The aerobic program became so popular as
the first workout of its kind, that it attracted media attention
and went on to be a book.
After the success of this book, it became a workout audio
program then a video. |
At no point in a woman's life is general fitness more crucial
than during pregnancy and childbirth. Now Jane Fonda's Pregnancy,
Birth and Recovery helps women achieve total fitness to
ensure the health and well being of your baby, to keep you
feeling well and relaxed during pregnancy, birth and to
speed recovery.
This is a unique program that guides you through an entire
year, from conception to recovery and nursing, with a workout
designed for all pregnant women but tailored to your own
special needs, depending on your condition.
Jane Fonda, whose commitment to health and recovery made
her first Workout Book a national best seller, and
Femmy DeLyser, a certified birth educator who instructed
Jane in her last pregnancy, introduce a completely natural
approach that helps you feel with the physical and mental
changes of pregnancy while achieving levels of stamina and
energy you may never have experienced before!

3: Recovery Workout
4: Skills for Birth
5: Baby massage and infant care |

For
Pregnancy: If you are fit
.Until the fifth month of pregnancy,
you can add the recovery section to your pregnancy exercise
routine. This will provide you with extra leg work as well as
exercises to strengthen your abdomen. Past the twentieth week,
abdominal exercises as well as buttock tucks usually become
uncomfortable and can compromise you and your baby's circulation.
.You can however, continue the
leg work from the recovery workout if you feel up to it.
For Recovery
.You will probably be ready
to resume exercising two to three weeks after a vaginal birth
and three - five weeks after a birth by caesarian section.
.Work your abdomen gently at first,
but slowly work up to all the reps. |

Though made in the 80's, the music is
very pretty late 70's - and its fun.
Even though the soundtrack is retro and cool, the workout
is still sold today and undergoes examination to make sure
the exercises and advice and safe and are up to code.
