The
red carpet was short but star-packed Monday night at the
"retro premiere" of the movie "9
to 5" to benefit the Georgia Campaign for
Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention. GCAPP founder Jane Fonda,
dressed in a tight metallic gray leather ensemble, arrived
arm in arm with her "9 to 5" co-stars, Dolly
Parton, Lily Tomlin and Dabney Coleman, outside the Woodruff
Arts Center in Midtown.
When
Buzz asked the quartet which scene from the 1980 comedy
they most enjoyed filming, Parton, dressed in a short
sequined dress with fringe, immediately shot back, "We
loved tying Dabney up. He actually wanted us to do it
again."
"I
still have nightmares,' cracked Coleman.
So
why the "retro premiere" concept? Said Fonda:
"One day, six months ago, I was sitting on the toilet
and I realized there was no movie coming out of Hollywood
more fun than this one."
Hundreds
turned out for the $150-a-ticket event. Fonda's escort,
ex-hubby Ted Turner, shied away from the media glare of
the red carpet but later danced with his date as a funk
band played the film's theme song.
