I was watching the FitTv channel one evening and found a great recipe. It's kind of like Waldorf Salad, except instead of using the creamy sauce that is loaded with fat and calories, you would use plain either low-fat yogurt or for anyone that cannot have milk products, plain soy yogurt.
Wardolf Salad

You will need...

1-2 tablespoons plain yogurt (either plain non-fat or soy yogurt)

fruit of your choice, apple, banana, strawberries, raisins, etc.

about a teaspoon of nuts of your choice (use a small amount because of the fat content of nuts)

In a bowl add the yogurt, nuts, fruit and mix and enjoy. It's a great pick me up after a long day if you don't feel like cooking. Or just a great snack.

If you like, you can add cinnamon to give a little extra flavor. This is a great low-fat dish that is easy and quick to make. It's great for kids as well. Let them make their own and add their own ingredients and they will have a healthy, low-fat snack as well. It's also great because you are getting your protien, fruit and calcium all in one delicious dish!
