your body, improve your posture, reduce stress and strengthen your
muscles and joints.
All of which add up to physical health and mental well-being! Jane
Fonda's Walkout is a scientific approach to America's favorite form
of exercise. Using motivating music for encouragement and stimulation,
it progressively challenges you with a regular regime of brisk walking
for a set period of time. And, it's designed for the individual
- from the slowest pace of walkout 1 (3.75 mph for 30 minutes) to
the quickest strides of "Walkout 3" (4.25 mph for 60 minutes)
Walking and hiking are two of Jane's favorite forms of aerobic exercise.
Fitness walking is an easy, convenient way to burn fat while improving
muscle tone and building cardiovascular strength.
The music in the walking programs is arranged to vary in intensity
while the beat of the music
controls your pace.
"I
love exercising to music, because even if my mind wanders my feet
keep moving in time
to the music and the workout is over before I know it." -
Jane Fonda

Each Walkout program begins with a stretching section to help you
get going and loosen up your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Stretching
should feel good and never be painful.
In general, a stretch should be held at the point of gentle tension
for at lease 12-15 seconds. No bouncing. Remember to keep breathing
throughout the stretch, as you gently relax in to it.
